The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has gas and electric hybrid model which is a new top line engine with 6 speed automatic transmission. You can find this large pick truck in various body styles such as regulars, extended and crew cab. The design is somewhat similar to GMC Sierra 1500. The extended cabs have rear hinged doors which do not open independently. The regular cabs have capacity of three passengers and the extended and crew cabs can take up to six. You can choose from three bed lengths of 5.8 foot short bed, 6.6 foot standard and 8.0 foot long bed.

Then the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado gives choice of two interiors one is dubbed pure pick up and other is luxury inspired. You can find engines depending on the bed and cab configuration. There are a 195-hp 4.3-liter V6; 295-hp 4.8-liter V8; 315-hp 5.3-liter V8; 367-hp 6.0-liter V8; and a new-for-2009 403-hp 6.2-liter V8 engine available.  The 5.3 and 6.0 V8 engines are available with GM’s Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation. The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 hybrid comes with a 6.0 liter V8 which also has electric motor fro 332 hp. It can run on both of its power sources and doesn’t require any plug in charging.
