2010 Chevrolet Avalanche is a reconfigurable pick up truck which is a crew crab version of Chevrolet’s Suburban SUV having a folding midgate which separates the cab and the cargo bed. When you lower the midgate it extends the bed to 8.2 ft from just 5.3 ft. The capacity of Avalanche is six and comes in three trim i.e. LS, LT and LTZ. Each trim has rear wheel drive or full time 4 wheel drives which can be left engaged on dry pavement. It also has a low range gear for off roading. The engine is a 310 hp 5.3 literv8 which comes with GM’s active Fuel management cylinder deactivation. It also has a 6 speed automation transmission and the maximum towing capacity is 8100 lb.

It includes safety features like ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front side airbags and curtain side airbags. It also has options for navigation system and DVD entertainment. Some models offer wireless cell phone link and review camera. The storage space is large enough. Effort is high when there are low speed maneuvers but still the feel of the steering is quite good. The brakes are very responsive. Whenever there is rapid acceleration engine whine and rumbling sound of tires are there or else all other noise is well suppressed.
