Chevrolet Colorado : 2010 Model

The 2010 Chevrolet Colorado is a compact truck which is designed similar to GMC Canyon. You can find regular, extended and crew cab body styles. In the regulars and extended a 6 foot cargo bed is there. In crew cabs there is 5 foot bed. There are different trim levels depending upon the body style which includes Work, 1LT, 2LT and 3 LT. All the Colorado have rear wheel drive or part time 4 wheel drive which should not be left engaged on dry pavement and has low range gear for off roading. the standard on most of the models is a 185 hp 2.9 liter 4 cylinder engine and on 4 WD crew cabs and optional on other Colorados is 242 hp 3.7 liter 5 cylinder engine. Standard on 3 LT models and most 1 LT and 2 LT is 300 hp 5.3 liters V8. The four cylinder model comes with either a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmissions. But the five cylinders and V8 version use only automatic transmission.

The maximum towing capacity of the truck is 6000 lb. the safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system and curtain side airbags. The 2LT models have standard off road suspension and the 3 LT versions have sport suspension.
