The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was going to have a new turbo diesel V8 engine but its introduction has been delayed due to GM’s financial position. This large pick up train comes in three body styles which are regular, extended, and crew cab styles. The design is similar to that of GMC Sierra 1500. Extended cabs have rear hinged doors which do not open independently. The regular cabs can take up to three passengers and the extended and crew cabs can take 6. Three different bed lengths are offered which are 5.8, 6.6 and 8.0 feet. You can find 2010 Chevrolet Silverado in two different interiors that are dubbed pure pick up and luxury inspired. The engines depend on cab and bed configuration with 195-hp 4.3-liter V6; 302-hp 4.8-liter V8; 315-hp 5.3-liter V8; and 403-hp 6.2-liter V8 capacity. The conventional V8 engines can run on E85 ethanol blended fuel. The 5.3 V8 has GM’s Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation feature. The V6 and 4.8 V8 use a 4 speed automatic transmission where as the 5.3 and 6.2 V8 uses 6 speed automatic transmission. You can get two four wheel drive systems and one part time set up which cannot be left engaged in dry pavement.
