Presentation V Edition Nissan Titan DesertPresentation V Edition Nissan Titan Desert, Yesterday saw the presentation of the fifth edition of the Nissan Titan Desert, mountain bike test that will elapse from 3 to 7 May 2010 in Moroccan land and covering more than 500 kilometers in five stages. This facility is already eight cities where the evidence has been presented, mainly organizational Catalan: Leon, Bilbao, Sevilla, Mallorca, Andorra, Vic and Banyoles.

The race, which despite its high hardness is aimed at both amateur and professional cyclists starts from the town of Erfoud and ending in Ouarzazate.



The big news of this fifth edition is the inclusion of a time trial, which give an extra-hard and demanding for participants, among which figures as Melcior Mauri (winner 2007), Roberto Heras (winner of editing 2008), Abraham Olano, Laurent Jalabert French, Italian Claudio Chiappucci or Peio Ruiz Cabestany. Some of them are already registered for the 2010 edition.

Also noteworthy is the reinstatement of the route through dunes, the increase in kilometers through the mountains and the adoption of a new category called mixed duo, and will consist of participation in pairs, always with a male and a female component, and which will complete the journey by saving the control points with a maximum of one minute apart.

Like last May, when the Catalan Israel Nunez proclaimed victor in this issue will return to complete a linear path, ie not be a departure / arrival coincident, but the race will be born and end in different cities.

The registration period which began on September 22 will be open until next March 19.

The next day will be similar to its predecessor: a mountain ascent of about 1,200 meters, and also one hundred kilometers.

The last stage will consist of two parts: the first is a trial of about twenty miles, in which participants will come out the reverse order of standings, and a second part of the conventional type. The outcome between the two tests will the winner of the day.
